Peru (c1970) An impressive 18k yellow gold and sterling necklace/bracelet by Vasco for Marshall Fields. The concave 18k yellow gold cross-hatch textured disks interspersed with rough textured sterling disks. Worn together or separately: The 11 3/4" pendant coverts to make a 7 1/4" bracelet, leaving a 4 1/2"pendant (see photos)The necklace measures 16" at the neck. Vasco was created in 1953 by Varese and Scotto - considered two of Peru's most skillful jewelers. The Studio eventually employed up to 30 skilled craftsmen who's job was to produce ancient inspired jewelry in silver and gold. This piece is a stunning example of the work.
